1. Who we are

SnugQuote is a trading style of Optimal Chain Ltd (company no. 16589599), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We are the data controller for personal data collected through snugquote.co.uk. ICO registration pending (applied July 2026). Contact: hello@snugquote.co.uk.

2. What we collect

• Estimate answers (job type, number of windows, material, property type, postcode area) — you can get an estimate without providing any contact details.
• Contact details (name, phone number, and optionally email) — only if you choose to request quotes.
• Consent records — the wording you agreed to and a timestamp.
• Technical data (IP address, browser type) — used for fraud prevention and to keep the service working.

3. How we use it and our lawful bases

• Arranging quotes (consent): when you tick the consent box, we share your enquiry — including your name, phone number, email if given, postcode and job details — with FENSA/CERTASS-registered window installation companies and vetted home-improvement lead networks operating in your area, so they can contact you about your enquiry. We limit this to a maximum of 4 recipients per enquiry.
• Running and improving the service (legitimate interests): anonymous estimate answers help us keep our price data accurate.
• Fraud prevention and security (legitimate interests): technical data is used to detect fake or automated submissions.
• Legal compliance (legal obligation): keeping consent records and responding to regulator requests.

4. Who receives your data

Only the recipients you consent to: FENSA/CERTASS-registered window installation companies and vetted home-improvement lead networks operating in your area. We also use service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — website hosting (Vercel) and database hosting (Supabase). We do not sell your data to anyone else, and we do not share it for unrelated marketing.

5. How long we keep it

• Quote enquiries and consent records: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
• Estimate answers without contact details: kept only in anonymous, aggregated form.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can: access the data we hold about you; correct it; have it deleted; restrict or object to processing; receive a portable copy; and withdraw consent at any time (which stops future sharing but does not undo introductions already made). Email hello@snugquote.co.uk with “privacy” in the subject line and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
