Every home that's been built, sold or let in the last 20-odd years has an Energy Performance Certificate on the public register. Type in your postcode and we'll show you how your street scores — and how many homes are in the bands where old or failed glazing usually shows up.

How this works

• The ratings are real. Every result comes straight from the official EPC register run by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities — the same data you can check yourself on the government's certificate search. We don't store or guess anything.
• One certificate per home. Homes get re-certificated when they're sold or improved, so we count only the latest certificate for each property. That's why our numbers can be lower than a raw register search.
• D or worse matters for glazing. Bands D to G are where EPC assessors most often flag single glazing, failed sealed units and poor draught-proofing. Band alone doesn't prove your windows need replacing — but it's a decent early signal.
• The savings figure is the Energy Saving Trust's, not ours. Their published estimate for going from single glazing to A-rated double glazing is up to £140–£235 a year for a typical semi-detached home in Great Britain (source). Your own saving depends on your home, your heating and what you're replacing.
